PenangStore1

PenangStore.com sent me a pack of biscuit to be reviewed. It was delivered via SkyNet, was not at home at time of delivery so had to pick up the biscuit from SkyNet Office near Pudu Jail.

PenangStore2

Above is the Tambun biscuit in 4 different flavor: coffee, green tea, yam and durian.

PenangStore3

They look fancy, but i don’t like the taste at all :\ Taste kinda artificial.

Website: PenangStore.com (sells Penang tambun biscuits etc)

Have you encounter/heard of this?

TrafficCompound1

Just changed job, now working in Bangsar, just about a week into it and i got a traffic compound from Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur(DBKL) for parking on road side which is not lined with yellow marking. The exact place which i parked was behind a blue proton car, see pic below

TrafficCompound2

i parked between the dark and light blue proton.

TrafficCompound3

Maybe i park too near the entrance to Bangsar Seafood restaurant(to the left of the above pic)?!  or the road is kinda narrow…? The offence is “Kedudukan atau keadaan kenderaan mungkin atau menyebabkan bahaya, halangan atau kesusahan tidak diduga kepada pengguna-pengguna jalan lain” Kinda vague don’t you think?

Anyway, there is a automatic 50% discount if you settle the traffic compound within 14 days, paid RM50 and never to park there again :S

Ristretto1

cosy interior, thanks to Ristretto for inviting my friend and I for this coffee tasting. They are selling their hot latte, cappuccino and flat white for only RM3. This cafe is located in a relatively new area in Mont Kiara, very near to Plaza Mont Kiara.

Ristretto2-honeydewMatcha

coffee, only RM3

and my honeydew matcha, RM12 (fresh honeydew blended with green tea powder), RM12, very yummy, complemented by natural sweetness from the honeydew, i didn’t order coffee as i not not really a coffee person 😛

Ristretto3-lamb

Provencale Lamb, RM35, the mash potato is thick and nice, the lamb is of harder texture as they are chargrilled then boiled for 6 hours. This is not the fork tender type of lambshank, there is definitely some bite to this 🙂

Ristretto4

black board of type of coffee they have for “Baby” coffee connoisseur: Green tea latte, babycinno and hot chocolate, and they are some for “noob”: Affogato, cappucinno etc, and they are some for hardcore coffee lover: double ristretto etc

Ristretto5-strawberrySponge

strawberry sponge is yummy, although just simple sponge with strawberry jam in between, RM8

Ristretto6

carrot cake is really good as well, RM8

Ristretto7-cakes

desserts

Ristretto8-wega

Ristretto is using a naked portafilter, it is a bottomless portafilter “chopped”, or cut off, so that the entire bottom is visible and thus called naked. The one on the right in the above picture is a naked portafilter and the one on the left is a commonly used one. Julian of Ristretto showed us the technique of using a naked portafilter… blonding… tiger stripes(meaning the coffee flows down in a shade of blonde and brown resembling tiger stripes)

Ristretto9

the remain of ground coffee from portafiler, it should resemble a soft cake, with some moisture.

For this invited review, Ristretto waived out the drinks cost for us 🙂
