Lim Kee Pan Mee in Cheras

Lim-Kee2

Small(RM4.50) Big(RM5.30)

Lim-Kee3

Just another ordinary pan mee. I prefer pan mee which is thicker and with bite, this one is just a bit too smooth.

Above is Tanzini’s Upper Deck located on the top floor(29th floor) of GTower, accessible only through 28th floor(Tanzini restaurant)

Thanks to Gladys of Goldis Berhad for invitation to the launch of Upper Deck, Tanzini in G Tower Hotel (near intersection of Jalan Ampang and Jalan Tun Razak). A group of us were generously treated to a 6-course fine dining.

GtowerTanzini5
Bread and dippings of balsamic vinegar + olive oil, chilli oil and some red pepper tapenade in the middle

GtowerTanzini6
GtowerTanzini7
Menu, 4-course dinner (RM155++); 5-course dinner(RM185++); 6-course dinner(RM215++)

Above is their menu for a 6-course meal

GtowerTanzini8
Yummy bite size appetizer(amuse bouche) of crab meat with potato chip on top

GtowerTanzini9
Equally yummy duo of hokkaido scallop (caramelized scallop with pureed edamame, carpaccio scallop with crab roe emulsion

GtowerTanzini10
Baby Lobster tail salad, the green ball in the middle is a molecular basil ravioli which have jelly-like texture.

GtowerTanzini11
small and dainty portion of Momotaro Tomato Gazpacho with tiger prawn

GtowerTanzini12
Smoked duck tea (ox tongue ragu ravioli, black trumpet mushroom served with a pot of smoked duck consomme)
GtowerTanzini13

Starter: Butternut squash ravioli with avruga caviar and creamy sea urchin.
GtowerTanzini14
Starter: Pacific rainbow trout based with sweet corn cooked risotto style

GtowerTanzini15
This is fine dining, big plates and bite size food

GtowerTanzini16
Palate cleanser of citrus sorbet before starting the main courses

GtowerTanzini17
Glass panel on the ceiling of the restaurant
GtowerTanzini18

Lamb Rack in sweet granola bar crust, caramelised onion on top of mashed potatoes & spiced peach chutney. The meat is very tender, but they undercooked it a wee bit that we have to send the above back to the kitchen for a little more heat.

GtowerTanzini19

Beef tenderloin and cheek is tender and yummy as well, same as above it was tad too rare that we have to send it back to the kitchen.

GtowerTanzini20

Yellowtail king fish(hamachi fish)

GtowerTanzini21
I am less than impressed with the profiteroles with banana ice cream dessert as the ice cream felt icy and the choux pastry taste like it has been in the fridge together with the ice cream for too long.

GtowerTanzini22
A little photo of klcc before the meals end at little pass 11pm

Invited Review: Sri Kulai Microwavable Frozen Ready-to-eat Meal

Sri Kulai1
Thanks to Andora of Truth Communications Sdn Bhd, i was given a Sri Kulai goodie bag which consists of 6 items to be reviewed.

Sri Kulai2

clockwise from top left: Nasi Lemak with Rendang Chicken, Sambal Lengkuas Udang with Rice, Spaghetti Bolognese, Teochew Mai with chicken soup, dumpling with chicken soup and beancurd chicken roll

Sri Kulai3

Box removed, not yet micowaved. Need to tear a small opening in one corner of each items so that steam can escape. Although the package mentioned all the items to be microwaved for 4 minutes, i find some part of the food still icy/cold after 4 minutes, so it is better to microwave them for 5 minutes.

Sri Kulai4

Dim sum items ready to be eaten. I like the siew mai(rightmost) the best, made with minced chicken, mushroom and i think some coriander. The left most beancurd is ok, i don’t fancy the dumpling(middle in picture above) as the wrapping is too thick and the filling tasted quite bland. Above dim sum items all priced at RM7.90 each.

Sri Kulai5

Nasi lemak one of their top seller is quite nice with surprisingly fluffy rice(RM5.90. There are 2 pieces of chicken. The sambal and rendang chicken taste quite good, only lacking curry spice aroma which could have been lost after being frozen for quite some time.

Sri Kulai6

Their sambal lengkuas udang(RM5.90), recipe is from one of their winner from “Sri Kulai All-Time Favourite Recipe Search” competition. The sambal is similar to that in their nasi lemak, and the prawn although small is not floury.

Sri Kulai7

Spaghetti bolognese is one of their popular item as well, taste ok.

Among all the items above, i like Teochew Mai with chicken soup, nasi lemak and sambal lengkuas udang.
