Best food in Pavilion Bukit Jalil
we had a few staycation on end of 2023. Amari hotel location is not bad, can walk to Gardens Mall/midvalley. Gardens Hotel and Boulevard would be my choice if it weren’t for my company got corporate rate for Amari (around RM400 all inclusive of taxes). Those other 2 hotel would b more convenient, as the Amari hotel walking distance is a bit far.
the thing I like about Amari is their buffet, with a few nice fresh fruit juices with can be rare for rm400-ish hotel. Pastries are nice and choice abundant
Above is breakfast before we checked into Amari. We had breakfast in Antipodean misvalley. So yummy and portion huge, their mushroom soup below very yummy as well
One thing I dislike is the hotel view we gotten is quite bad, all block by residential tower
Tapao from Alexis, very yummy!! Piping hot as well. Price is expensive but very yumm
Room size is 33m3/355 sqf feels much much more smaller than Alila at 38m3/409 sqf.
If we are to stay in this hotel next time, will opt for bigger room size
Their breakfast are quite good, los of variety and yummy(nasi lemak, hash brown, chesses, pain au chocolate etc). Only thing is no fresh fruit juice avail
We ordered Alexis for dinner via beepit. Their siam meehoon is surprisingly very big portion and tasty. And also surprisingly the food arrived piping hot
Had a staycation in Alila Hotel with hub and baby in tow. The room is very spacious and the bed feels really bigger than the usual king bed. Room size according to their website is 409 square feet/38 square meters. Love our stay here, only cons i would say there is no shopping mall outside for strolls and it takes 3 lift ride to get from car to room. First one from car to ground floour, then ground floor to check in counter on 41st floor, then another lift to get to room on floor 35-40. But given all these cons, i will consider to stay again due to spacious and well design room, free snack on lobby of each room floor(murukku, kerepek, coffee).
Their pool open till quite late, not the usual 7pm, but very dark so a bit scary when I swam there at night.
room is connected with washroom. Be careful of the bathroom floor when wet, hub had a fall there
coffee machine, and snack jars, free for all
these are the 3 jar of snacks
Complimentary cake for birthday, very yum but would have love some birthday writing on the plate
Love their breakfast, the spread is quite limited, but the quality makes up for it. It is prepared by the restaurant: Botanica & co
fresh watermelon juice is the only juice available
Hot cocoa, DIY, a nice touch
my first plate. The rice is not usual lemak feel, more like nasi kerabu type of rice
Before given birth to baby mid this year, I have went to research few centres and below are notes and thoughts I have on them. Overall i chose Santorini because of location is nearby my house, and also price is not too expensive, my package is 14k. Only thing I would advice is to expect to pay extra (~RM180 per session) for lactation massage/service if you need one, cos they will refer you to Love Latch if you have lactation issue like engorgement, blocked duct etc.
santorini has good camera placement to view your baby, there is camera which face your baby bed, another which view the bathing area, and another which view the whole baby room where you can see your baby when the nurse feed them.
Garden Gem, Petaling Jaya
Room is the nicest among all the confinement centre I been, very spacious, full of natural light. One of my friend love it there, they have inhouse lactation specialist which can be a major plus
~15.5k and above
2 weeks once doctor visit
Need pay 30% deposit
Luna confinement, Central Residence, Sungei Besi highway
I quite like Luna as well, the price is reasonable, can’t remember, I think around 13k as well, but 1 main draw back is there is no natural light in whole centre. The room has no window for sunlight!
Has 2 block
For main block: 12 baby 2nd floor, 10 baby 1st floor
1 nurse 3 baby(all the centre will say this ratio)
2nd block 2 floor (7 baby + 7 baby)
Has in house jaundice treatment, Rm120/hr
10am-7pm visiting hour
Provide 80 sanitary pad
Uses Huggies airsoft (Santorini also uses this)
3k deposit, 50% pct (rm300 admin)
Tues 2pm-6pm lactation specialist visit
Olive Dove, Bangsar South. I don’t like this centre, the person who showed me around really feels like sales person and not the motherly caring type 😀 the place feels huge and cold. I don’t feel this suitable for first time mum. However if you not first time mum, this can be a good choice as the room is like a hotel room which is quite big and with balcony! Just remember to ask for room facing morning sun otherwise it will very hot. I don’t like their baby room as it is not entirely viewable from outside. Santorin’s one is much better and fully viewable from camera and also when you walk by. This centre is cheapest among the few I mentioned here, I think got 11.5k when I asked
Huggies diaper
Doctor once a week(HKL)
Complimentary MAM bottle(Santorini also free 1 MAM bottle)
Deposit 3.5k (admin 300)
Below are the food I had in Santorini confinement centre in mid this year. Their food are mostly home cooked, don’t have bought pau, processed sausage etc. the most processed food I think are spaghetti sauce(cream/tomato) which I had few times for breakfast
Dessert in Santorini centre: the most look forward as their dessert are made in-house and very yummy
.
Above is pumpkin kuih I think, first meal I had when I check in, very yumm
This Florentine showed up 3 times I think, tasty treat
Yummy home made choc cookie
Roti canai stuffed with banana, surprisingly very tasty
This is ok ok, skin a bit soggy
This mAh Lai koh nice as well
Chicken essence, 1-3 times depending on your package
