<p>It is always nice to have ala-carte buffet where food is served to you instead of taking the food yourself.</p>
<p>Mizu TTDI and Munakata Jalan Sultan Ismail are among my top 2 for Japanese ala-carte buffet, <a href="http://www.dishwithvivien.com/2010/08/maiu-japanese-ala-carte-buffet-rm48-damansara-perdana/" target="_blank">Maiu</a> Damansara Perdana (used to be called Umai-ya) also have ala-carte buffet which i don&#8217;t really like&#8230;</p>
<p>Komura of Corus Hotel do have a pretty awesome Japanese ala carte buffet spread as well for RM60++ lunch, RM98++ dinner. Click here for visit to <a href="http://www.dishwithvivien.com/2010/02/komura-japanese-restaurant-eat-all-you-can-ala-carte-buffet-corus-hotelnear-klcc/" target="_blank">Komura</a> on February 2010.</p>
<p>Mizu ala carte buffet only available on Saturday and Sunday lunch from noon to 3pm for RM50++ for Saturday(about RM60 all inclusive) or RM55++ for Sunday.</p>
<p>Whereas Munakata&#8217;s only available for dinner Monday to Saturday(closed on Sundays) for RM70++ They currently have buy 2 free 1 promotion until end of February 2012 which average out to RM55 each person all inclusive if 3 person going.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s start off with Mizu&#8217;s spread. Above is their order sheet.</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI2 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658358151/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7164/6658358151_43806a4692_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI2" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Looks really nice, above is sashimi beautifully spread out on ice, the quality is quite good except not too fond of the tuna sashimi after bf&#8217;s sister say they put coloring on tuna to make it looks nicer. The above portions is for 4 of us <img src='http://www.dishwithvivien.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI3 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658358585/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7035/6658358585_6cd7051c63_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI3" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Tamago, scallop lips and small octopus, all quite good</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI4 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658358875/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7158/6658358875_5e1480e74b_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI4" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Tempura prawns with fresh prawns</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI5 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658359331/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7161/6658359331_665169e61a_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI5" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Yummy teppanyaki beef cubes, salmon is ok, don&#8217;t really like their scallop which has rubbery texture and lacking natural sweetness from seafood</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI6 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658359697/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7015/6658359697_1731acbea1_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI6" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Yummy sashimi salad</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI7 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658359975/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7157/6658359975_834bb97d84_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI7" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Delicious mizu maki with eel, tempura prawn and tasty mayo dressing</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI8 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658360213/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7007/6658360213_b3c385555c_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI8" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Soba</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI9 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658360599/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7006/6658360599_c46fa30c99_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI9" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>Grilled shishamo, mackarel and salmon</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI10 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658355529/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7005/6658355529_b739bd1da9_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI10" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Delicious eel handroll</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI11 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658355859/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7165/6658355859_59e0613517_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI11" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>We wanted the grilled salmon as in the whole head. At first the waitress say it is not included in the buffet, but we ordered it anyway assuming it will be charged ala-carte, and end up they don&#8217;t charge us for it. Really tasty fatty meat</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI12 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658356103/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7031/6658356103_6849c0a1ca_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI12" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Tempura prawn again</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI13 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658356525/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7165/6658356525_0723cc932b_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI13" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Seafood fried rice and garlic fried rice, prefer the fragrant garlicky one</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI14 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658356803/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7145/6658356803_a37414b9e5_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI14" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>Seafood Kimchi Soup, appetising sourish and slightly spicy</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI15 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658357193/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7170/6658357193_13b427a93e_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI15" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>I think we were eating too much and they were waiting for us to leave when they served us the above 2 huge chicken portion although we ordered only 1 portion of it, and usually their portion is only few small pieces.</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI16 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658357499/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7154/6658357499_5960d3c85d_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI16" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>an order of all dessert before deciding what to have more of. The pudding and jelly are not nice, their matcha green tea and black sesame ice cream are awesome</p>
<p><a title="Mizu-TTDI17 by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/6658357743/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7010/6658357743_367a6fac47_z.jpg" alt="Mizu-TTDI17" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Last round in Mizu <img src='http://www.dishwithvivien.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Thanks to Frankie of Senjyu for invitation to sample some of the best Senjyu has to offer. We were generously fed and go home satisfied <img src='http://www.dishwithvivien.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> I was hesistant of eating japanese food as the recent earthquake/tsumani in Japan, which has caused some radiation concern on food from Japan (the tsunami caused a nuclear reactor to be leaking radioactive water etc) Nonetheless, much relieved after we were told none of Senjyu food is imported from Japan&#8230;</p>
<p>Above is Sushi Moriawase (2 pax) RM38, assortment of raw salmon, tuna, butterfish, cuttlefish and surf clam, fresh and thickly sliced</p>
<p><a title="senjyu2-salad by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672021511/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5028/5672021511_1dce4d1f65_z.jpg" alt="senjyu2-salad" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Lobster salad and fresh vege served with house ponzu dressing, RM22</p>
<p><a title="senjyu3-unagi by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672021147/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5266/5672021147_c58df8c6ba_z.jpg" alt="senjyu3-unagi" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>One of their seafood specials &#8211; River eel served on hot plate, RM22, loved this, it is made of fresh live eel with its natural sweetness, yummy~</p>
<p><a title="senjyu4-carpacio by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672588820/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5229/5672588820_fc7b0d9de5_z.jpg" alt="senjyu4-carpacio" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Carpaccio Moriawase, RM22, perhaps this is a fusion of french/Italian with japanese/chinese(with thin ginger sliver on the fish). The sauce should be poured on to the fish from right to left, in the sequence of soy sauce, sesame, spicy chili oil, sake and ponzu sauce. I am just okay with this as not too fond of fusion</p>
<p><a title="senjyu5-oyster by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672589078/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5226/5672589078_87c9636383_z.jpg" alt="senjyu5-oyster" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>Trio oyster, RM45, fresh live oyster sashimi, grilled oyster with cod fish roe and simmered oyster with broth. My favourite being the fresh oyster sashimi, it is sweet without being slimy, yum~ the cod fish roe mayo topping is also delicious too.</p>
<p><a title="senjyu6-shrimp by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672589424/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5222/5672589424_4a5840b33f_z.jpg" alt="senjyu6-shrimp" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>Live tiger prawn sashimi, from Vietnam, RM16, firm and fresh tasting</p>
<p><a title="senjyu7-maki by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672589560/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5110/5672589560_8f55ebe043_z.jpg" alt="senjyu7-maki" width="435" height="580" /></a></p>
<p>Foie gras and oyster maki, RM28, 2 pieces are topped with oyster, while the other 2 are topped with foie gras</p>
<p><a title="senjyu8-tempura by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672022671/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5107/5672022671_7bc8177c58_z.jpg" alt="senjyu8-tempura" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Tempura Moriawase, RM38, find it a tad oily and prawn flesh a bit floury.</p>
<p><a title="senjyu9-beef by _vivien_, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66503663@N00/5672589896/"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5228/5672589896_fb96db04fa_z.jpg" alt="senjyu9-beef" width="580" height="435" /></a></p>
<p>Wagyu Saikoro Steak, RM68. This a marble score 6 beef from Australia. Marble score ranging from 1 to 12 with 12 being the best having the best fat distribution which makes it having the melt-in-the-mouth feel.</p>
