Bistro a table is among the few restaurant in Kuala Lumpur which serve souffle, a dessert which looks so gloriously good due to its height and look so light. Above is their copyrighted Ode to Newton which is a vanilla souffle with custard and hot ginger drink top with some lemongrass ice halve with nutmeg ice cream, the ice cream is suppose to drop into the hot ginger drink once we are done eating the souffle. around RM38

I like all the items individually, and not together, the souffle and cream are nice on its own, mixing them together make it slightly wet and mushy. Whereas the ice cream and ginger drink are good on its own as well, mixing them both together just make it into a lukewarm gingery milky drink which is not too appetizing.

After eating my second souffle in Bistro a Table, first i had in Augustin Restaurant, Ho Chi Minh. Above my first try making it using souffle recipe for 2 pax by Eugenie Kitchen.

Some adjustment made, not having milk, i use whipped cream substituting some of it with water. It turn out quite good, rising high. Success!

Really yummy stuff

Really yummy gelato ice cream, more affordable than Gelatissimo mid valley and equally satisfying, only RM8.80 for 2 flavours as above. Above is pistachio and mango, pistachio is the better one.

My favourite Fish & Chips joint in KL. Their price is comparatively cheaper than Manhattan fish market as well.

side dishes of rice, salad, baguette etc

My order of best fish & chips for RM13.95, can substitute fries with other side dishes (rice etc)

US fish and chips with mozzarella inside

Their lime drink are cordial, totally not nice and not worth it, and their plain water tasted of strong tap water taste, but their fish & chips is better than Manhattan, the batter coating here is thinner and more crispy and melt in mouth. yum

My favourite chicken rice place, mainly because you can have unlimited refill of chicken feet soup, love chicken feet.

You can refill chilli sauce and ginger condiments, but remember not to take new sauce plate, but use back the same one for refill.

half chicken, beansprout, chicken intestine and gizzard

One saturday dinner, ran out of idea on what to have for dinner, suddenly remember KYspeaks blog post on this cheap affordable Thai restaurant in PJ, somewhere behind Giant (opposite Paradigm mall)

Chicken tomyam, about RM10, the soup base is nice. I thought by default they would give us the seafood tomyam, turns out only chicken in it :\

Lime garoupa, about RM30. The fish tasted frozen, and the sauce is quite sweet. I think it is from this chilli sauce. Totally not what i expected, i expected it to be spicy and sour, instead it tasted sweet and sour. Not nice! Maybe should have order other style like teo chew style instead…
