Last Sunday, went to this food exhibition – Epicure Malaysia 2008 in Sime Darby Convention Centre in Bukit Kiara. There are food sampling(wine, cheese, chocolate etc) and workshops(self grooming, culinary class etc)
workshops on ground floor, while exhibition hall is on second floor.

Pasta served by Chef Marco of Marco’s Pizza (branch in Bangsar Village), the sauce is watery but taste all rite.
Chef Marco in person
Sampling of biscuit made from different flours.
Tomato and Basil Pasta sauce.
Illy’s Coffee, taste very strong.
Pita bread, nuff said.
Cheese sampler plate, like the gouda.
Chocolate and baklava by Lavand, there are chocolate buttons at the front for sampling.
SummerTime juices(apricot, apple, tomato…) from Australia.
Nagomi chicken shabu shabu, the soup taste really good, gotta try it someday, has branch in Hartamas shopping centre.
GNC sampler
Malaysian local products.
Yummy smoothie
The exhibition hall is not big, lot of wine sampling but didn’t take them. We finished browsing all the stalls in one hour, looking at the leaflet, decide to go to a workshop – Continental cuisine by Chef Oliver Lopez (from Genting’s Olive restaurant). Dish for the day is mushroom risotto. Three type of mushrooms used: Shitake, Trumpet and Chanterelle. The bottle hold by chef is truffle oil, more than RM100 for this bottle.
Rice used to cook Risotto: Arborio rice.
The bottle with green top is champagne. This dish is an expensive dish, with truffle oil, champagne…
At the end of the demo, we all get one small serving of risotto served in a cup, yummy…
