Porto Romano in TTDI, they also have branch in Ampwalk(Jalan Ampang) and Mont Kiara(near Plaza Mont Kiara)

interior

Left: menu-Antipasti, soup, seafood, rice and dessert

Right: menu – pasta, pizza, meat

Left: porto romano’s own chilli sauce, chilli flake and parmesan for pizza

Right: mushroom soup, loads of mushroom inside, but mushroom taste is not strong enough, RM15

porto romano’s pizza – with seafood, like the flavorful tomato base, and the crunchy thin pizza base, although the fillings on top is kinda wet(not sure from the seafood or the tomato sauce), but the dough below stay crispy… yummy, RM32, wish they have peel the prawn though

tiramisu, RM15, no visible taste of alcohol. Given any day, i would prefer the satisfyingly huge portion of tiramisu in Bel Pasto, Kepong for only RM8.90

Laziz is a Middle Eastern Food restaurant situated in Solaris, Mont Kiara, diagonally across from Cold Storage supermart.

Middle Eastern food is among my favorite cuisine as it looks and feels healthy, with plenty of vege, not oily etc. I was given a complementary meal by Akram of Laziz.

Left: dining area

Right: looking towards kitchen

Laziz Mazza, RM35, clockwise from top right: Fetush salad, Baba Ghanoosh, Arabic Salad, and Humos.Middle is Wara Ainab(grape leave stuffed with rice and onion), to be served with pita Bread

Fetosh is a salad mixture with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, white radish, zuchini tossed with lemony dressing and crispy bread. Baba Ghanosh is mashed grilled eggplant with olive oil. Arabic salad finely chopped salad mixture topped by sumac-middle eastern flower herb.

Love the hummus, not so fond of baba ghanosh and wara einab which taste of olive to me, the salads are both refreshing.

Laziz Mix Grill, RM38, a very filling dish, good enough for 2 person. Comes with 2 lamb shish kebab, 2 lamb chop, cubes of shish tawook(chicken cubes) and Lamb Cubes. Yummy~ Garlic sauce at the side feels a bit too oily to me though.

Left: Appetizers menu

Rohani Ikan Bakar Stall in Kuala Perlis.

Grilled fish, moist, juicy and flavorful, they seem to brush spice infused coconut on the fish while grilling it, probably spiced with kunyit(turmeric) resulting in yellowish tint

crunchy and dlish fried calamari, but a bit too oily.

Left: clam

Right: Tom Yam with 2 flower crabs inside

All above (fill up 2 person nicely) cost only RM64, i like the grilled fish, the others are too oily

View from hotel we stayed, Putra Brasmana hotel in Kuala Perlis, RM135/night. Rohani Ikan Bakar stall is just across the street, located in one of the red roofed stall by the sea.

Another view out from hotel Putra Brasmana, looking out towards Langkawi Island
