Been wanting to make curry puff with butter instead of all those yucky stuff: shortening, margarine

Finally found a recipe from Sam Tan’s kitchen which uses all butter

Curry_Puff_1

Oil dough covered in water dough and roll to thin sheet

Curry_Puff_2

roll it up

Curry_Puff_3

turn it 90 degree, roll it flat again and roll it up again

Curry_Puff_4

Then cut it up, see the layers?

Curry_Puff_5

11 puffs all together

Curry_Puff_6

looking yummy

Curry_Puff_7

Tasty but it turn soft the next day, just can’t stay crispy like those made with shortening :S

Nice food at reasonable price in a comfortable environment

Above is a huge portion of smoke salmon salad, very yummy, RM23, the dressing is light yoghurty, not mayonnaise type

Backofen_2

Olive oil spaghetti not shabby either, spicy and nice although it looks all broken up, RM13

Backofen_3

Tiramisu, around RM4.50, cheap but just not good enough

Thinking of registering for Certificate of Baking, really nice course, 2 months to learn around 72 recipes

MIB Certificate of Baking

The Classes will be on Saturday (2pm – 6.30pm) & Sunday (10am – 2.30pm) for 9 weekends from 13th Jul 2013
price at RM2788 nett

But… i am not free on Sundays, paying full price and attending only Saturday class is kind of not worth it 🙁

Maybe i should just use the money to buy ingredients and bake on my own :S
