Life Centre located along Jalan Sultan Ismail, Munakata is on the 1st floor. They have daily buffet dinner promotion for RM60++ (added up to RM66 nett per person), now it is increased to RM70++ (effective 6 December 2009, Sunday). Dinner time starts at 6:30pm and last order at 10:00pm

buffet dinner offers oyster, scallop, soft shelled crab, salmon, eel, mackerel, beef, chicken, sushi, sashimi etc.

ala-carte buffet dinner menu, RM70++(adult), RM45++(4 – 10 years old)

order sheet

Edamame(boiled green peas) and nigiri sushi(salmon)-vinegared rice ball topped with fresh sliced salmon, fresh and delish

fresh salmon sashimi, well marbled with fatty bits, thickly cut, very nice

another pic to tempt your appetite

seafood salad, so so, they prob use some canned tuna etc for this.

wakame salad(seaweed salad)

yasai salad (fresh garden salad)

hourensou butter(grilled spinach with butter), nice and tender vegetables and Eringi Butter Yaki(pan fried king oyster mushroom with butter), the king oyster mushroom is really nice

Enoki No Butter Yaki (pan fry fresh straw mushroom with butter)

Shira Ebi Karaage(deep fried japanese glass shrimp), crispy and tasty

tempura moriawase, shrimp, eggplant and sweet potato deep fried, batter is crunchy and not that oily.

hotate butter yaki(grilled scallop with butter), i find it a tad oily

Unagi Tamago(Grilled eel wrapped in cooked egg)

shishamo(grilled smelt fish), not crispy and flavorful enough

Saba Shioyaki (grilled mackerel with salt), very flavorful and nice

Sake Teriyaki(grilled salmon coated with sweet soya sauce)

Kaki Furai(deep fried oyster), batter is too thick.

Mini Korroke(mini croquette), made with mashed sweet potato and potato

Chawanmushi(savoury egg custard), very smooth, i had 3 of these

unagi Kabayaki(grilled eel coated with sweet soya sauce), wish it is served warmer, but nice as it is not too sweet like those served in some restaurant.

Gyu Saikora Steak(beef steak japanese style), like the well fried cabbage, the beef is standard.

Gohan & Misoshiru (steamed rice and miso soup), rice is authentic japanese rice, soup is tastyyy

Tori Tsukune Yaki(skewered chicken meat ball coated with savoury sauce), it is piping hot when served, nice although i find they could have mixed in quite a bit of flour into the chicken mixture.

seasonal fruits, green tea ice cream with red bean, and vanilla ice cream. ice cream melt way too fast.

inside the restaurant, not crowded, just a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy food.

teppanyaki corner

tepanyaki station

looking out from Munakata, KFC building just across.
Overall, love this place which although serve a limited selected of japanese food for their RM60++ buffet (increase to RM70++ from 6 December 2009 onwards), are non-adultered japanese food which is a very satisfying meal. I much prefer this simple quality japanese food restaurant over jogoya/tenji anyway.
