On a Sunday afternoon, went to this restaurant in Jalan Alor(near Bukit Bintang area) – Charn Kee which specialise in Fish Paste Noodle. Other choices include: Claypot Seafood Noodle, Tomyam claypot seafood noodle, dried minced meat noodle, nyonya curry noodle, Lum Mee, home made dumpling, home made fishball and on Sundays they is dried curry noodle.
Noodle choices include: mee, yee mee, meehoon, short rice noodle, kuey tiaw and fried mee sua.
Menu with no prices.
Fish paste noodle: ~RM6
home made fishball and home made dumpling RM0.90 each
Overall, i find the food fresh and soup is nice. But i think the fish ball lack taste and a bit hard. Their home made fish ball could be better if they mix in more dried cuttlefish bits.

since 1998. Three branches – Sunway, Bukit Bintang and Star Hill
The Star Hill branch and bukit bintang branch are walking distance away from each other. Bukit bintang branch is by the main road, across from Lot 10, Bukit Bintang.
I wouldn’t go to this restaurant if not this friend of mine suggested it, the name tarbush doesn’t makes me think of anything delicious, what tar and bush have to do with food, anyway, tarbush actually is a red hat worn especially by Muslim men. She dined there before, and according to her, the price is reasonable. So, here goes…
Eggplant Fetush, RM15 very refreshing as it is marinated in lemon juice. But, it gets very overwhelming sour with the lemon juice at the base of the salad. It comes with toasted pita strips(which get soggy if left too long), tiny cubed grilled eggplant etc.
Falafel RM10, deep fried snacks made with chick peas, pretty good, piping hot served with yoghurt sauce.
Fantastic garlic sauce, RM5, made with yoghurt, garlic… why can’t they just serve this complementary… grr… they are no condiments provided and we have to pay for it?!?!
My order of Shish Kebab (a grilled seasoned mince lamb), RM28, something which is on my to-try list. This doesn’t disappoint me as the meat is well seasoned with spices. Juicy and flavorful. Served stuffed in pita bread(far end in the pic above), with olives, tomato, lemon juice squeezed on top of the lamb… there are chili padi provided but we skip that. 😉
I ordered a Lemonade, wanted to try the Lemon Na’na(which is lemonade with fresh mint) price at RM12, but he give me fresh lemonade(RM16)… Grrr… lemonade with fresh mint sounds more “exotic” than fresh lemonade and it is cheaper too… Anyway… the whole meal for 2 cost RM100(tax included), such an expensive lunch/dinner don’t you think?
If you wanna dine in Starhill without breaking your bank account big, then this is a pretty safe choice. On a customer service level, they don’t serve complimentary sky juice, i just ask them to add ice into my sour lemonade. This whole lunch/dinner is a sour experience all the way for me, sour salad, sour lemonade, more sour than i would like.
They also served various Hommus(a chick pea dip which i quite fancy), Baba Ghanoush(an grilled eggplant dip)
