ThreeLittleBirds1

On a lazy Sunday late afternoon we were here to try out the offerings of this coffee place which i heard from my co-workers raving about their Non-bake cheesecake with chocolate ganache in additional to the normal graham cracker base. This coffee place is surprisingly burstling with customers in this quiet building called D7, just next to YTL Tamarind condominium

ThreeLittleBirds2

unique greenery, we can either sit in air conditioned or go al fresco

ThreeLittleBirds3

Their hours:

Monday – Thursday 8am – 11pm

Friday/Saturday 8am – midnight

Sunday 9am – 10pm

ThreeLittleBirds4

My Mocha Dulcey, heavy on bitter espresso and light on chocolate, RM13

ThreeLittleBirds5

Lemon Pistachio: RM12, i would have prefer it to be more lemony, perhaps even with lemon curd on top instead of the current cream cheese frosting

ThreeLittleBirds6

Some of their cakes are from the famous cake shop in Bangsar called “Jaslyn Cakes” and this is one of it. The tart raspberry, adding to this cake is slightly warmed for us before serving makes this quite a memorable and nice cake

ThreeLittleBirds7

their signature No bake cheesecake, the bitterness of the dark chocolate ganache contrast well with the sweet smooth cream cheese filling

ThreeLittleBirds8

chocolate peanut butter cake, also from Jaslyn Cakes, we find it just so so. For peanut butter cake, i like red beanbag’s caramel peanut butter cheesecake

ThreeLittleBirds9

Another of their specialty, only available on weekends: Nutella Bao with coconut ice cream affogato, RM18, the coconut ice cream which i think drizzled with gula melaka is really nice

ThreeLittleBirds10

creamy nutella filling, must eat while warm else the nutella will harden. We are suppose to dip  the bao into the affogato

ThreeLittleBirds11

all the cakes we had

ThreeLittleBirds12

Camembert sandwich from Tommy Le Baker! only RM12 This is good place to try their sandwich cos the Tommy Le Baker shop in Viva Residency closed quite early on 6pm

Really like this sandwich, other fillings available are sliced beef and chicken

ThreeLittleBirds13

The Last Polka customized flavor for them. It is mint ice cream with chocolate chip, RM9.90. The chocolate chip is with strange chewy texture resembling raisin, and the mint flavor is not strong enough

ThreeLittleBirds14

not a fan of this flavor

ThreeLittleBirds15

no tax!

ThreeLittleBirds16

we also tapao the above 2 flavor of chocolate, each RM2, namely Jaffa (orange) and Ladybug (raspberry), the raspberry one is quite nice

ThreeLittleBirds17

and also 3 more ice cream from The Last Polka to try: Salted gula melaka, teh tarik, and deep dark chocolate

ThreeLittleBirds18

The Teh Tarik is my favourite, it is nice and not too sweet and you can definitely taste teh tarik although flavor is quite subtle, coming up second is salted gula melaka with small bits of gula melaka in it and hints of saltiness. The deep dark chocolate on the other hand is just chocolate flavor and is the sweetest of them all, don’t really like it.

Tommy Le Baker and Jaslyn cakes are 2 places i wanted to try, and who knows some items from those shops are available here, thus successfully kill three birds in one stone. Overall, i really like the sandwich, coconut ice cream drizzled with gula melaka in the nutella bao set, and the teh tarik ice cream, no-bake cheesecake is quite good as well.

I have also posted a concise review of this place to the latest up and coming malaysian directory: http://www.findit.com.my/
