Went to this corner hawker shop in Kepong, near KTZ dessert place
Tau Hu Pok in Bak Kut Teh soup, RM2
half a kampung chicken in pepper soup, RM18, i like pepperish soup, wish they gave more cilantro leaves though.
dessert in KTZ, RM5.50, yum yum, but i still miss the mixed fruit dessert in Ipoh, so good, KTZ version pales in comparison.
Overall, pepperish chicken soup is a nice homely dish that comfort your soul and stomach 🙂

This is Robertson Quay hotel, located near Clarke Quay area, nearest MRT: Clarke Quay, also the cheapest hotel we could find: $SGD100 for room and breakfast(2 pax), internet SGD$5(daily, optional). The moment we walk into the room, it is not a pleasant feeling, the room feel like some cheap Chow Kit area budget room(ok, i never been there, but you get the drift, there is no feeling of crisp linens, instead the whole room seems to be quite humid, from the wet carpet) My colleague couldn’t take it take we have to live here for 5 nights! I am the other hand is more concern of their 72 hours cancellation policy and wouldn’t mind living here for 5 nights.
Who knows a hotel in Clarke Quay, in Singapore could be in this condition. But next day, we move to another room, in fact a floor higher, exactly on top of this room… hehe… and it is much more cleaner, so it depends on which rooms you are getting, i guess. Nonetheless, it is a small room, a lil too small for comfort.
twin bed
looking to entrance
toilet, very small.
But i have to give them credit that their customer service is satisfactory… Do give this a try if you want to live in room below SGD$100 near Clark Quay, and internet is really cheap here at SGD$5 per day.(for geeky guys perhaps, since guys don’t need a lot of space, bed + internet should make them quite happy already)

This is probably the most expensive one-dish meal that we had in Singapore, averaging SGD$15 without any drinks.

Just done my driving license in JPJ in Pertama Kompleks, wake up wee hour of 6am, to be the first in line queing in front of JPJ, took a bus there. I had my license renewed bout 4 months back for period which i don’t remember, 1 or 2 years, maximum can renew if for 5 years, in a post office, and they gave me a receipt, on the receipt it is stated that it must be kept with my old driving license(thought it was a norm that post office won’t give you a newly laminated card, so there you go, i kept the license with the receipt…) Until one “fateful” day i bought a new wallet, and i “tink” i threw away the receipt… so now have to go JPJ… urghh, i hate dealing with road tax/insurance/license etc etc governmental matters mostly. And it cost me freaking RM150 to renew it for 5 years(RM30 for 1 years)… and i thought i renew it for a period already, but my new license stated the starting day from today till 2014… careless me, i don’t have actual proof that i actually renew it already and he told me system said my license expired on December last year… $%$#@ i need to be more careful to avoid lossing $$ like these(keep receipts!)… RM150!
reach JPJ at 6:45am, and there are opening 7:45am, had to take half day leave.
