Spicy Chicken dish, excuse me for the over exposed photos, as my camera can’t focus in low light condition, and am forced to use flash, which resulted in bright harsh photos.
trails of condiments: bird eye chili, chili sauce, green pickle chili, sambal etc
glasses of mineral water and ice lemon tea
yam cake(looks good), rojak and prawn dish with rice
my fish head meehoon, really good, like the soup too
fluffy fried wedges
boxing chicken/drummets
fried bananas with vanilla ice cream.

Restaurant 88, Kuchai Lama off Old Klang Road

Restaurant 88, there is ample parking space in front of the restaurant, this gem is hidden among Kuchai Lama residential area. If you are coming from KL on Old Klang road towards OUG/Pearl Point hotel direction, turn left one one of the left turning to Kuchai Lama, continue driving till you reach a traffic light, turn right, and turn right (meaning you kind of make a U turn) circling a car reseller, continue driving till the end, then turn left driving up hill, this restaurant will be somewhere to the right of the road… :D
Set meals. (for 10 person) RM498 or RM398
Set meals, RM298 or RM238
Choice of chilis
Tofu, RM16
Vege with salted egg, RM20, huge portion, like the salted egg taste.
Portugues style pork, RM23

Abalone braised with vegetables, RM50.
Steam fish, RM28
Tofu soup, RM45(expensive for this kind of quality) i find it rather tasteless, and salty (either from salt or MSG) with bits of tofu, shitake mushroom etc
ABC, like the crunchy peanut, just the right sweetness, recommended, this big bowl cost RM15
Rice is free flow, counted RM1 for each person. This is an above average chinese style restaurant, service is prompt and food taste great.

Bubble tea selection
I ordered bubble tea (which comes with black pearls and chocolate pudding). It taste a bit coffeeish, in a subtle way. Nonetheless, love the pudding and the pearls. RM4.90
Menu, with some plastic cover, resulting in unclear pic.
see the red drink, it is Roselle (type of flower), reputed to have 9x vitamin C than citrus food yada yada…, didn’t try it.
It is pretty cool, quaint, small hongky, taiwanese style cafe, definitely can give this a try.

9 course lunch in Pearl Point Hotel’s Opulent Court

Three season combination
Watery Sharfin Soup
Fried chicken, doesn’t taste bake, i am assuming the fried the whole chicken, so-so.
The highlight of the lunch, Patin steam fish
Porguese sauce prawn, prawns are fresh
big mushroom
dessert(sago-coconut drink) …
Overall, just standard affair, nothing to shout about. Their lunch session is till 3pm, we arrived almost 2pm, which end up them serving the dishes very quickly and us eating efficiently ;) and also no waiting period from course to course.
