Ui Seong black garlic farming association, they removes the strong smell and hot taste of raw garlic and thereby helps everyone to take black garlic easily… While i was in this booth, i saw one guy(chinese) “arguing” with the sales person that he takes raw garlic without any problem… hahaha… it is usual for chinese to take raw garlic when they are eating certain food, for example: fried noodle… so i guess chinese don’t need black garlic.

My brother’s friend who is from Uzbezkistan is staying with my family for the next 1 month, he brought us some food souvenier from his country, above is their bread, quite nice although can be less salty.
yellowish is a milky dessert, whereas top is sugar.
above are balls made from cream, it is salty and has strong smell, he said it is to be taken with beer, i find it hard to stomach, doesn’t taste good, whereas the whitish stuff below is sugary sweet which has melt in the mouth texture.

FHM 2009 in conjunction with Culinaire Malaysia 2009(which is a cooking competition with entrance fee of RM8, i didn’t go :P), FHM 2009 entrance is free.
11-13 August 2009 10am-6pm
14 August 2009 10am – 5pm
Sensory Basics Sdn Bhd booth, an independent manufacturer and marketer of toiletries and hotel amenities, product packaging services etc. The bathtub thingy you see on the bottom right photos are filled with free sample size toiletries, it is basically up to how “thick-skin” you are to grab as many as you can 😛
Magic grater, RM40, i find this small clay plate gadget kinda flimsy and might be easily broken, and the price tag is not cheap either.
Asia Pacific Magazine booth, this is a taiwanese company mainly devoted to featuring Taiwan/China manufacturers.
EuroChef(Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, supplier of kitchen utensils, member of the Matfer-Bourgeat group from France.
wow, as you can see on top of the shelf are pepper grinder of different designs.
i could use a good lemon grater, but it comes at a hefty price of RM60-RM100

This Food and Hotel Malaysia is da bomb, too much to see, munch, drink. This event is happening in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11-14 August 2009(Tuesday – Friday), it is a trade show for professional, so make sure you have a business card with you, else you may not be able to get in, the field of your work is irrelevant, i am in IT, but still be able to get in 😛
Look at the freebies i got, all FOC except Korean rice cake(1 pack for RM3, 2 for RM5) and Korean Seaweed(6 pack for RM10). Stuff i got FOC include: Heinz jam(wonder why i get it, cos i don’t eat jam anyway), Beryl’s chocolate, calcium drink(can mix it into Milo), Kumabo chocolate(80.1% cocoa), Envirokidz organic crispy rice bar, Snyder of Hanover Peanut Butter and Cheddar cheese pretzels sandwich, pepper and salt powder, Crabtree & Evelyn Toiletries, Acca Kappa toiletries.
Stay tune for actual post on FHM2009, there are too many photos which will probably make it tiring and boring to post all at one shot, might separate them into few posts 🙂
If you like coffee and ice cream(Italian gelato), then make sure not to miss this biennial event, it happens once every 2 years, you got 2 more days to catch this event(thursday and friday 13/14 August 2009), they are lots of coffee sampling, and a few ice cream stand to taste to your heart’s delight.
