a standard indian banana leaf rice is essentially a vegetarian meal
dhal gravy poured onto the rice. You can add other meaty side dish if you want. Rice, gravies, vegetables(fried bittergourd, cucumber salad etc) can be refilled, however there is no sharing of each banana leaf rice.
papadam is complementary, comes with the meal.
puri with side side of potato mash thingy?!
maggi mee goreng on a banana leaf 😛 looks like everything is serve on banana leaves.
An interesting note, or a more unappetising note, Star Metro reported that Restoran Sri Nirwana Maju and Indian Kitchen(both restaurant on the same street) were fined for unhygenic food preparation on 29 June 2009 as they prepare food on backlane.
Address: Sri Nirwana Maju (just opposite Bangsar Village II)

now coughing like crazy, couldn’t really sleep well yesterday… Anyway, above is a stall in Taman Muda selling pan mee etc. “Pan Mee” is a noodle dish made with wheat flour noodle, and broth usually made from anchovies, with addition of greens and some meat(usually pork, fish ball etc)
Pan Mee, about RM3.50, taste standard, nothing to shout about, nothing much to complain either.
