Posted by vivien | Non-Food Related | Monday 10 August 2009 9:44 am

TT Sports Park is the largest Paintball Park in Malaysia, certified by Malaysian book of records.
Just next to this park is a restaurant: Crocodile Farm Seafood Village
They are 3 fields available: Red City, Kamikaze and Rendezvous.
Really really sunny although it is just 10am. They are other fields which are more shady.

Fire Fighting Training, Fire Department Bomba Cyberjaya

Posted by vivien | Non-Food Related | Saturday 8 November 2008 6:37 am

Balai Bomba and Penyelamat Cyberjaya. Fire & Rescue Department Cyberjaya. My company organise training for selected employee to undergo fire rescue training. According to our trainer, this fire department is the most expensive in Malaysia, takes RM32 millions to build.
lobby
our itinerary, with tea break and lunch slotted in ;P mainly includes theoritical knowledge in the morning and practical training in the afternoon (practical includes holding water hose, opening the water hyrant, putting out fire with fire extinguisher)
Some informative knowledge includes testing the heat on door knob before opening it when there is smoke coming from outside of the room, this is to test the severity of the fire, and if it is cold, open the door slowly else oxygen will rush in too quickly causing the fire to flame up very quickly…
Fireman explaining related fire apparatus we are going to use. Apparently the water host has a male on outer side and female on the inner which will be linked to water hydrant.
Opening of water hydrant with err… i forgot all the naming.
Our trainer pouring petrol
lighting it up
Everyone of us have a try in putting out fire, have to stand about 10 feet from the fire source, we are using powder based extinguisher which can be quite messy with powder flying all over the place. So, in case of using it in enclosed place, make sure your back is facing the exit, else you can’t find your way out from powder filled room.
They store hose in high tower.
base of tower.
uniform
fire engine
chain saw and circular saw. Fireman also involve in car accidents rescue, persuading suicidal people, finding corpse in river etc. For your information, fireman are protected by law when doing rescue, for example, if your neighbour house on fire, they have the right to break a hole in your house etc, basically do anything for their rescue operation, then you can’t sue them, but you can claim from insurance company.

pictorial of the aerial trails in skytrex adventure

This is by far the most “scary” for me as the base can be slippery. See below pic.
swing swing swing, carefully gripping the black pipe with feet.

try to hop if you can.
looks high eh? well it is actually not scary as most times you will be concentrating on the trek instead of looking down.
Overall, the price is very reasonable for such experience, getting close to mother nature, and enjoying the thrills of skytrex adventure.

Hiking in Bukit Ketumbar, Cheras

Posted by vivien | Kuala Lumpur and Selangor | Saturday 27 September 2008 10:12 am
Look, a bear hiking, nah, it is just a dog happily hiking down the mountain.
Food is in every aspect of our lives :D
Just tired and catching my breath, while at that, why not have a IKO cookie? haha Though it is stated as healthy, natural, with all the sesame, oat, pumpkin seed… but if you look closely enough at the nutritional value of the packaging of this cookie(not pictured here, i mean the packaging which contains all this little packets), you will notice the sugar and saturated fat for each packet is quite high.
view from first stop
“View Station” (look a the top right of this photo)
hiking down, it is not that easy you know…
new hiking shoes which cost on RM4.80 (~USD1.50), no kidding, i couldn’t believe such cheap shoes actually exist, it is comfy and looks not bad.
You can get it in a mini market in Taman Cuepacs (friend bought it)
Close up, it is “Cap Gajah” brand, and “Made in Malaysia” at the base of the shoe.
another cute dog.
Bukit Ketumbar (or Ketumbar hill) is located on the same road as Ketumbar Heights.
Good workout, sweat out a lot.
