One of the better Pan Mee out there, the noodle is not too thin, and the soup is nice (boiled with anchovies/ikan bilis). The food taste good, but the environment may not be so, as this hawker stall is just next to main road. But, you can still go to try, this stall is also recommended by 8TV show: Ho Chak. In that show, they recommended their SzeChuan Spicy Noodle.

Size: small

Jia Xiang restaurant is very near to where our hotel is. Since my colleague and I couldn’t eat crab although have been talking about it since day 1, finally on the fourth day we went to Jia Xiang which is recommended by our customer.
Aloe Vera with celery, taste good while it is hot, but get slimy when it is cold. Should be quite good for ladies ;P
Their home-made prawn fritters, not bad, although a bit oily and too crispy.
Hot Plate Oyster
Crab, RM50/kg, soooo expensive, and it is not even that meaty. This 2 crabs cost RM55(1.1kg), first time having salt-baked crab.
The rest of the 3 dishes totaled RM31

83000 Batu Pahat,

Grand Sea View is the most known restaurant in Batu Pahat. My colleague and I wanted to try their crab with rice, (refer to photo in Meeky-meeky), but it is not available, one waitress told us that we have to pre-order one day before(RM20 per order), the other told us they don’t serve it anymore, and another told us have to pre-order 2-3 days before as crabs are hard to come by… grrr, so we just other something else. This branch is Jalan Zabedah has open doors since 1987.
Fried Superior Noodle with seafood, so so. RM8 really cheap
Egg Soup Hock Chew Style, eggy soup with mince pork, sliced mushroom, not so good. RM6 really cheap too, although Sea View is known for being expensive.
They have 2 branch in Batu Pahat, one is a banquet hall, which can accomodate grand weddings-220 tables. This banquet hall operating since 2004.

Eyes a bit strained from reading all the financial data, tallying Account Receivables and Account Payable Reports. Hate accounting course during uni, don’t expect to be in touch with it during working life.
Anyway, the reports are tallied 😀
Had these Otak otak last Sunday, when my colleague and i arrived in Batu Pahat, 2 non-locals driving around and finally gave up looking for any nice restaurant. Had these otak-otak
in a food court (RM0.50 each). Otak-otak is specialty of this area (Johor area) and these are quite spicy.
Otak-otak is fish paste wrap in banana leaves.
