Sushi King is the most “omni-present” kaiten belt sushi chain in malaysia. sushi are priced based on color of the plate, blue the cheapest at RM2, beige RM3 etc. It is one working day lunch hour that my colleague and I went to Jusco in Equine Park to eat sushi, where each of us eat like 4 plates of sushi… not indulging much as it is expensive to spend so much for a lunch…
On normal days, i would not go sushi king given a choice alongside other jap restaurant as the food here is not as good as let’s say Sushi Zanmai(ma favourite)
Anyway, after the Tenji craze, there is another jap buffet craze, the Xenri Craze, refer to masak-masak, there is promotion from 21st February 2009 to 29 March 2009.
Xenri D’Garden Terrace, Menara Hap Seng
lunch buffet: RM27.50++ (50% discount from original RM55++)
dinner buffet: RM34++ (original price RM68++)
feel like going already 🙂

Gunkan
nigiri
makis
tamaki/hand-roll, always like these fresh rolled sushi
tsunami?!?!
Set meal ranging from RM14 to RM25, reasonable priced for a bento
more set meal
Agemono(deep fried delicacies)
dessert
drinks

Ong Lai is situated along one of the back lanes of Jalan Raja Laut, near to Chow Kit/Jalan Ipoh
specialise in
steamed fish head
fish head mee hoon
“oh jian”/oyster omelette
clam which looks like coffin (Zhuk4 tan1 *cantonese*)
hokkien mee
sitting on the back lane
drinks here is expensive, and operated by different owner, about RM2.90 each, left sour soup, and right is lime
delicious oyster omelette, fresh and big juicy oyster. RM16, can enjoy my oyster omelette fix without going to Penang.
their famous fish head meehoon, this portion is purportedly a 3-4 person share, RM28. This is not the sour kind with tomato, salted vege. but the kind with sweet rice wine, but they skim on the wine compared to last time, so the taste is a bit lacking.
Address:
Ong Lai (Goh Kee) Restaurant
60A, Jalan Raja Laut,
50500 Kuala Lumpur.
