Anyone has any idea on what crab this is? I was given these claws and told that for this crab, they eat only the claws… and i am wondering why the claws have black tips. And was told this crab is from deep sea… that’s all i know, taste like normal crab to me, maybe more organic… haha

Store front: according to banner, there is 50% discount on Mon-Fri(11:00pm – 1:30am). This restaurant is just few shops away from the 2 famous dim sum shop in Jalan Ipoh, and there is a King’s bakery just next door.
This is my favourite steamboat place, close second is Queen’s Park(Cheras) steamboat, mainly i find their soup is nice, not much MSG detected. They also have newspaper cutting where it is said they boiled their soup for long time, and no MSG added.

Menu

Suggestions on way to mix the condiments.

Type of soup base, porridge base.
Soup/porridge base is RM13.30 per person

Here is 2 person’s portion. shown here fu chok is replaced with 3 pieces of fisballs. They fishball is different from others with its big flat balls, instead of rounded, taste good too.

As usual, set also comes with noodles. Minimum order is 2 sets.

Address: Steambot King
No.485, Jalan Ipoh,

This is a second post on Happy Meal, a revisit to this bakery selling what westerners love to hate, but might just love it with practise… 😀 Durian, the thorny looking fruit and also known as the king of fruits.
How to get there? Imagine yourself standing in the most known intersection in Chinatown, with Longan drink somewhere behind you to the right side, and Soya bean stall in front of you, take this road in front of you.
Walking steadily, you will see Popular book store somewhere in front on the left side. Last time Popular book shop was at another area of Chinatown, i am not sure whether they moved or they are 2 shops. You can also see Hotel Malaya on your left side.
Yep, you have reach the intersection where Happy Meal is at. It is the corner shop on the right.
Baked goods on display
Durian tart, RM2.50, i find they are too creamy, not in a delicious way, as if they have put quite a bit of cornstarch in it…
Durian swiss roll, RM2.20, i find it to be so-so and not worth buying.
Well equipped kitchen
Famed durian puff, RM2.80 for 4 pieces, this is must try, can see strand of real durian flesh in the cream.
Durian Tart, closed up
Durian cake, RM1.30, nice cake with subtle durian taste, worth trying.
Durian swiss roll, closed up, the cream is same with the durian puff’s, taste like any other swiss roll.
Here my recount on a durian feast i had on one fine Saturday morning. Do bring your friends from oversea, westerners perhaps to this shop, sure will be good experience for them… 😀
First post on Happy Meal
