Kim Kee Restaurant in Cheras. (don’t know how to describe the exact location)
steamed bean paste fish, RM22, fresh and nice
delicious vege(sweet potato leaves), bf mum peel three bunches of them (RM1/bunch) and brought them here for cooking, very nice
deer meet with salted vege, about RM12
Cheap and delicious meal

May King Restaurant near Pudu, it is located by the road side
They selling Lum Mee, Curry Chicken Mee and Chicken Soup Keow Teow
Their home-made pork balls with cuttlefish bits, the one i had in Cheras Taman Muda is better, this one lack a bit in taste. RM0.90 each ball.
doesn’t expect this bowl of dark noodle to taste so good, peppery good… yum yum, RM5.50, nice prawn and delicious chicken strips

It is farewell lunch session for one of our collegue’s. Food are cooked by a Thai Lady who is also the boss’ wife. Food here are very appetising albeit the portion is small.
Barley water
sambal Prawn with Petai
Pork with salted fish, pork are sliced very thin and portion is small. According to the boss, this portion is for 1.5 person.
curry fish head, RM15
spicy chicken, taste gooood
vegetable – yau mak
vegetable – kangkung
All these food cost only RM77.
Location: Dengkil, less than half an hour drive from Cyberjaya

14/01/2009: Just up, Tenji promotion is extended until 15th February 2009

What is the latest hype in food-blogger-sphere? Tenji Buffet in Mont Kiara, opened since December 2008(less than a month ago). Everybody is hyping about it. RM29.90 for 1 hour, RM39.90 for 2 hours or RM49.90 for whole buffet session (only applies for lunch buffet, till January 15, 2009 )

Crowd, even though it is dinner session, no promotion on dinner, it is RM88++

sashimi: the cuttlefish on the forefront is really nice, they are also scallop sashimi.
condiments for sushi: red ginger, soya, wasabi
salad with salmon sashimi

food for order, just place metal clip on your choice of food, and they will send it to your table, each table are entitle to about 2 metal clips, the metal clips can be re-used. (like Jogoya)
tepanyaki section: you can have beef sirloin, boneless chicken thigh, mussel etc (requires metal clippping)
tempura area
lobster salad(so so only as i like fresh unadultered lobster dipped into melted butter, this one has mayo etc in it)
chinese-style dishes: clams, stir fry scallop etc
dim sum
chinese herbal soup: really nice
fruit section
nice coconut, i had lotsa this.
chocolate foundain, didn’t try this.
western dishes: crab melt(taste too rich with cream and cheese), grilled lamb etc
salad and mushroom soup

sashimi
sashimi, first time having this, not bad
chef shucking oyster on the spot, very fresh, but oyster is not my thing, too slimy and fishy
food also available on patio area: lamb, roast chicken etc
taiwanese flower infused tea: not my thing either, individual teapot available on bottom shelves for your perusal.

tiramisu, no trace of alcohol in it, so so
chocolate balls, sweet nothing

overall i find their food is above average for japanese buffet(better than Shogun for sure), customer service excelent 😉

I must be crazy, or it is madness, 2 days in a row Dessert’s bar. oh well this time in Menara Hap Seng, located just across from Shangri La Hotel, on Jalan P Ramlee.
my current favourite

some savoury choices to fill you up: sandwich, soup etc.
miniature muffin, this one is pistachio lemon, taste quite good actually. RM2.50(normal price)
my grape smoothie, basically grape blend with sugar water and maybe some honey, not cold enough as it is not blended with ice.
yummilicous strawberry panna cotta, RM8.00(normal price)
closed up, it comes with lotsaaa strawberry-fresh ones and compotes, yummy
milk belgian dark chocolate banana smoothie, RM9.80(normal price)
caramel banana crepe, RM8(normal price), cut up banana and mashed bananas on warm crepes.
There is a Nagomi Shabu Shabu in Menara Hap Seng too
If you plan to dine here, can park opposite menara Hap Seng, they are some road-side parking lots available.
