Suchan1

A revisit to Suchan after getting this Superdeals from 701panduan.com.

RM30 INSTEAD OF RM62 NETT FOR ICED LEMON TEA + CAESER’S SALAD + A CHOICE OF PASTA + ANY SUCHAN’S CAKE + COFFEE/TEA AT SUCHAN

Above is freshly made ice lemon tea with separate sugar syrup. And there also coffee with heated milk.
Suchan2

Caesar salad

Suchan3

aglio olio, taste very nice, spaghetti was cooked al-dente

Suchan4

Japonaise cake which is dry, probably due to it being made few days ago. There are not many choice in their cake display fridge, namely Italian cream cake, moist chocolate cake and a few others which doesn’t caught my eye. Their cake have so much potential to be among the best, but they are just not enough patron in this place, and their cake looks like they have stayed in the fridge for too long.

Suchan5

soup and starter menu. We wanted to have chunky chips but they ran out of it?!

Suchan6

noodle and pasta menu

I heard Suchan used to have a branch in Bangsar Village years ago but it has closed down, their website said they have a branch in The Curve, maybe their cakes will be fresher there.

Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh1

Ka Ka Ba Kut Teh in Kepong is always full of customers, finally made a trip down after my colleague commenting it is the best bak kut teh she everĀ  had.

Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh2

Price list, individual claypot is RM10

Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh3

Since we are not game for meat, had only pig stomach and pork ribs, RM8. Find the taste is ok. But i think the soup that we get is different from those of RM10 which is of mixed pig parts(intestine, ribs, meat, stomach etc) and looks more piping hot

PastryPro Advanced Baking Class

In another note, Pastry Pro has an Advanced Bread Hands-On class which sounds so interesting and “hard core”, imagine the class is from 9:30am – 4:30pm. So tempted, but i guess i will give it a pass this time. The class will teach how to make ciabatta(my favourite slipper bread), rye/Muesli bread and variety of japanese buns.

4 Type of Mangoes

4-Type-Mangoes

It is mango season now, which type of mango do you like? Tesco have offer on mangoes whereby all the above mangoes are priced the same only RM2.50 per kg.

From left: Elephant tusk(long-ish), Waterlily(with a sharper “bottom”), chokonan(look almost the same as waterlily, with a rounder “bottom”), and thai black gold(ripe but skin will still look greenish)

Elephant Tusk without a doubt is the clear winner here, the flesh is soft without mushy and has a nice aroma/taste.

Waterlily rank second, as it is slightly sour although fully ripe, a bit mushy.

Chokonan and thai black gold share the last place as both have virtually no aroma/taste although the texture are good- ripe without mushy.
