Was invited by Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd which owns Manhattan Fish Market and Tokyo G to do a review on their latest offerings. Was both excited(first time having invited review, what can be better than having free food, and plus it is japanese, sort of… you will see…) and nervous(as i am not fond of “complicated” food, Tokyo G being a japanese fusion restaurant…) but was pleasantly surprised at their interesting and delicious offerings.

Tokyo G (formerly known as Sushi Groove) is a hip and trend joint serving japanese fusion food, with chinese/western etc influence.

another look at their interior

drinks available: Bling Bling, Agent Orange(popular refreshing drink) etc.

My bling bling, RM8.90, not too sweet, nice, bottom is reddish grenadine syrup, middle is blended pineapple etc juices, and top with selasih seed.Resize of fusion dragon

Fusion Dragon G-Roll, a roll with chili padi at the front 4 pieces, i had the pieces at the back which is filled with tempura, this sushi roll is topped with mango and smoked beef, really flavorful.

actually dish itself, it is also topped with some fish roe, and lightly flamed from the top.

they is also also Tokyo G Carbonara, only RM12.90, they added sesame paste and miso paste into a western cabonara dish.

Their wasabi ice cream(white colored) and sesame ice cream(black color) is really nice. Wasabi ice cream is melow when you first eat it, but the wasabi punch that hits you afterwards is interesting(in a nice way), sesame ice cream is really fragrant, the green colored is green tea ice cream

Address: Tokyo G, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall(near the Sunway Pyramid new wing’s Jusco), they also have a branch in 1 Utama Shopping Mall(Ground floor, Oval G342 & 343)

Canon just came out with a new model called S90 looks so desirable, was informed of this camera by ieatishootipost.sg, i don’t need it, but i want it, and it is lighter than the sold-out Panasonic Lumix LX3(195g), this S90 weight only 175g, not bad, not too heavier than my current Pentax Option S4.

Previous 2 years food hunt organised by rasa-rasa was in Penang, this is the first year is held in KL, good for KL foodies. This year theme is “Going by mobile” whereby participants have to use Maxis SMS based location finder directory. Basically is like sending text message(ex: “Pan Mee”) to 301(number of the FINDER service), and they will send back the nearest places where you can have “Pan Mee”, and you can continue reply back to 301, they will send you back another sms containing more details and google map(provided you phone is 3G enabled, otherwise you will just get a http link of the google map)

Originally wanted to join this with a friend, but after finding out there is no reimbursement of petrol, 3G and this hunt will probably take 6-7 hours, and i am terrible in solving riddles, therefore decided not to join this treasure hunt.

Also, FYI, they have no ruling on GPS usage and not all routes are halal.( they have some routes to accomodate Muslim participants)

Anyone joining?

This is a scheduled post.

During this 1 year, i have blogged on various eateries, some of the must-go list are:
Sugimoto Japanese Restaurant in Hartamas
Popeyes Louisina Kitchen
Ikea Food Court
Gelatissimo Ice Cream
Dubrovnik, Mont Kiara Solaris
Happy Meal Durian Puff near Petaling Street
Steamboat King, Jalan Ipoh
Pan Mee, Jinjang
Crystal Jade Kitche, Pavillion Shopping Mall
Kin Heng Restaurant, Jalan Ipoh
Delicious, Bangsar Shopping Centre
My favourite post (other food related and non-food related post)
Sekeping Serendah Retreat
How to Make Swiss Roll
Recipe: Pavlova
Camera Survey Among Food Bloggers
Food Exhibition Attended
Epicure Malaysia 2008
MIFB 2009, Malaysia Internation Food and Beverage Exhibition
During this one year, i am pretty much on a roll, churning out 1 post every other day, averagely, looking back, it is kinda crazy, but i enjoy blogging bout food basically anything food-related 😛 Good thing they is always gym exercise(swimming, elliptical machine) to keep my weight in check, however tummy is starting to show even though my weight is maintained… hahaha… probably from the occasionally over stretching of the stomach wall during some serious buffet chowing.
Photos in this blog have been blurred and over exposed consistently, mainly i am unwilling to spend on camera, and i am still in love with my cute-size camera, Pentax Optio S4 which weight only 115g with battery, hard to beat that when i don’t really want to be recognised as a hard-core foodie with big flashes and more noticeable camera… 😛 Might borrow my mum’s Olympus FE-20 which double the megapixe if i really want to take better photos. Anyway, food blogging can be boring after a while, when you have “review” so much eateries, just feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again, that’s why i tend to try to mess up some recipes without over-following the recipes, just a twit here and there to use up whatever ingredients which is already at home… food is suppose to be fun, creative, experimental, carefree, and not bogged down by feeling of trying to fill up blogs with post after post, however that is also what i hope for… “Variety is the spice of life” definitely applies for me when it comes to food, won’t stress so much about having perfect photos while eating, just so the food don’t get cold/melt etc when it is my turn to enjoy foooood. Also try to chip in a few non-food-related post to give my food-overloaded mind a break… hahaha
Just in case anyone interested in my camera survey, i did some serious documentation(sort of), including what camera food bloggers’ are using for their blog.
At the mean time, thank you for all my “fans/stalkers” etc for follow this humble blog of mine, which i share on everything food(and occasionally non food-related) which tickles my fancy, this is where i share my fun food adventure 🙂
So back to business… hehe, please leave your comment about this 1-year-old-blog of mine, which area you think can be improved? what attracts you to my site? 🙂 How to increase unique visitors, so that this blog will be so popular that i don’t have to work anymore… hahaha… anything you would like to say…
